Fate/Samurai Remnant Pre-Order Guide; Season Pass, Treasure Box & Digital Deluxe Editions Detailed

Koei Tecmo has announced that digital and physical pre-orders are now available for the upcoming Omega Force-developed action JRPG Fate/Samurai Remnant in both North America and Europe. However, digital pre-orders for the Switch are not yet up in either region.

We’ve compiled the currently available pre-order links while also detailing the contents of all editions and the Season Pass.

The Digital Deluxe edition comprises the following alongside the base game:

  • Digital Artbook & Soundtrack
    • Will include all songs, including the theme song. Content differs from the Treasure Box edition soundtrack CD. Some images and songs may overlap with those included in the Treasure Box’s Original Soundtrack CD.
  • Fate/Samurai Remnant Season Pass
  • Season Pass Bonus: Hallowed Relic Sword Mountings
    • Special weapon that Miyamoto Iori can equip in-game.

The Season Pass will release the following content. Note that you will need to have made unspecified story progress to be able to play these additional episodes:

  • Additional Episode 1 is planned to be released before the end of April 2024.
  • Additional Episode 2 is planned to be released before the end of July 2024.
  • Additional Episode 3 is planned to be released before the end of September 2024.

“Additional episodes come in the form of DLC that allows you to enjoy scenarios that differ from those in the main game, as well as adds new Servants, new skills, new stages, new enemies, new mountings, etc.”

The contents of the Season Pass, save for the bonus sword for Iori, will be purchasable separately.

Additionally, the Phantasmal Dress “Miyamoto Musashi” cosmetic will be granted to those who pre-order the digital version of the title by September 28, 2023:

“The short story included in the “Fate/Samurai Remnant material” is a newly written short story by Hikaru Sakurai and Yuichirou Higashide of the Fate scenario team, who supervised the story of the main game.

The story explores the thoughts and feelings towards food held by the seven pairs of Masters and Servants who take part in the “Waxing Moon Ritual”, which is not depicted in the main game.

This is a remarkable short story that touches on their way of living and details what they eat and what satisfies them.”

Fate/Samurai Remnant, developed by Omega Force, will depict a Grail War held in the Keian Era, Edo Period Japan, where participants comprising seven pairs of Masters and summoned Servants of figures from historical and mythological importance. A “Waxing Moon Ritual” is also being held in the city’s underbelly. Protagonist Miyamoto Iori, residing in Asaka, fights in this Grail War with his Servant Saber to achieve the “Waxing Moon Vessel.”

Miyamoto utilizes the Niten Ichiryu style of swordsmanship. In battle, players can direct Servants to perform certain maneuvers or take control of them directly. Further, players can explore Edo, made up of row houses, samurai residences, and brothels where NPC and animal interaction are possible. Moreover, there are unspecified challenges players can anticipate.

Fate /Samurai Remnant will launch for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam on September 29, 2023.
