Genshin Impact English Tighanri Voice Actor Being Removed; All Previous Lines to be Replaced

Developer HoYoverse has officially announced that the English voice actor for the Genshin Impact character Tighnari, Elliot Gindi, will be officially stepping down from his role as the character due to a breach in contract. As a result, subsequent cutscenes that feature the character will not be voiced by him, and communications with the voice recording agency are currently underway regarding matters of casting and re-recording every single line from the character.

The voice actor had been involved in a very serious controversy last week due to allegations of grooming and pedophilia, as multiple victims anonymously reported him, which caused multiple angry posts, including from the voice actor’s colleagues, requesting to remove Elliot from his role.
