Master Detective Archives: RAIN CODE DLC Episode 1 “Ch. Desuhiko: Charisma Killed the Cat” Now Available

Spike Chunsoft has announced that the first DLC episode for their recently released mystery adventure, Master Detective Archives: RAIN CODE, is now available worldwide on Nintendo Switch.

Titled “Ch. Desuhiko: Charisma Killed the Cat,” Detective Desuhiko Thunderbolt is the protagonist of this new narrative. He’s “a young man with a goofball nature who likes hitting on women under the guise of investigation. Desuhiko’s goal is to become famous as a mystery-solving superstar detective. He carries a huge backpack filled with tools necessary for his disguises.”

Further, his Forensic Ability, Disguise, does the following:

“In addition to disguising his clothes and face, his voice, height, and weight can also be changed, allowing him to match the target of disguise visually and psychologically.”

You can purchase this DLC standalone via the Switch eShop for $5.00 or purchase the Season Pass for $16.00 to save roughly four bucks and get each of the four DLC episodes as they launch.

The release windows for the remaining DLC episodes are listed below:

  • DLC 2 available August 2023
  • DLC 3 available September 2023
  • DLC 4 available October 2023

Master Detective Archives: RAIN CODE has players control an amnesiac detective who is followed by a Shinigami and solve cases by examining crime scenes and evidence. The Shinigami will create a realm connecting the crime scene to the truth. Mystery Phantoms will try to impede your progress, and defeating them by utilizing the truth is the only way to go.

The gameplay comprises exploration throughout the Kanai Ward, which is entirely 3D. Players will have to examine several crime scenes and other locations alongside interviewing involved parties. Hidden clues are emphasized as being hidden via specific camera angles.

Master Detective Archives: RAIN CODE is exclusively available on Nintendo Switch.
