Mystery BL Visual Novel ‘Dreambound’ Announced with Atmospheric Opening Video; Demo Available Now

Two and a Half Studios announced a new game called Dreambound. The BL visual novel telling a mystery tale of loss, grief and love doesn’t have a release date yet, but a demo is already available on Steam and itch.io. The developer has also shared an opening video made by Kokoroten, also known as Kenkou Land (MAMIYA, Lemures Blue’s 2 A.M.).

Dreambound tells the story of an introverted artist called Noah who ends up mixed up in a mysterious string of murder cases. Now he’ll be forced to face the reality before him and the painful past that he tried to lock away and forget. By doing so, he may have a chance to finally move forward, solve the mystery and find a better future.

Noah will have three romance options, each of which has their own routes. The main characters shown in the video include the photography lover August, the dreamer Ivan who wants to escape reality, the friendly Kaine, and the mysterious Crow who seems adamant in the importance of remembering the past.

Dreambound is written by Gabmag and Caspiiii, who have been working together on The Divine Speaker. Korean artist Sinran is responsible for the character art while background art is made by Anybangchu and Kathaeris works on the UI. The opening song “My Name Is…” is performed by Haruka Kounoike with lyrics translation by Michelle Noir.

If you want to go in without any hint of spoilers, I recommend not watching the opening and playing the demo right away. Nonetheless, you can check it out below:

We’ll let you know as Two and a Half Studios announces more information on Dreambound in the future.
