Death End Re;Quest 2 Launching For Switch in the West February 2022

Publisher Idea Factory International has announced that the Compile Heart-developed RPG Death End Re;Quest 2 will launch on Nintendo Switch in the west on February 08, 2022. The Calendar Edition can currently be pre-ordered on Idea Factory’s European digital store. In addition, North American and European purchasers can also benefit from contextual pre-order discounts.

Death End Re;Quest 2’s story stars Mai Toyama, who is seeking an escape from her traumatic past. She finds herself enrolled in an all-girls dormitory known as Wordsworth in Le Choara. She finds herself there searching for her sister, Sanae, who was last seen in the city. However, she soon discovers that the town turns into a nightmare during the night as the streets are filled with what is known as Shadow Matter, a group of creatures. As Mai explores more, she gets closer to the truth of her sister’s whereabouts.

The gameplay has players exploring dungeons and fighting monsters. The battle system is turn-based, where players will aim to knock back enemies into walls and other enemies to cause extra damage. The game also features a day and night cycle where you gather clues during the die and fight for your life at night. The series returns with visual novel and RPG elements.
