MapleStory2 Opens Pre-Registration Ahead of Launch With Added Rewards

Nexon announced that their MMORPG MapleStory2 is open for players to pre-register their account for bonuses and rewards.

Originally released in 2015 in Korea, MapleStory2 is the sequel to the widely popular MapleStory. Compared to its predecessor, MapleStory2 has updated 3D graphics and systems, with a similar story.

Players who pre-register their account will get the Roosting Seagul, Rustic Mushcabin Name Tag, and the Dusty Ricksaw. If players want a little more, the publisher will give a Mint Body Pillow to those who retweet the new Runeblade trailer on Twitter or like the game’s Facebook page. Sadly, this won’t be an actual body pillow, but instead, one you can equip in-game.

Additionally, any player who purchases the game’s Founder Pack for $24.99 will be able to play the game over a week early on October 1. Those who play during this head start launch will have all their data carried over to the official launch version, as well as the following:

  • 6 character slots
  • Founder’s Pack items
  • Access to Gemstones
  • 1 – 50 Quests and Dungeons
  • Premium Club benefits
  • Meret Market
  • New customization item

MapleStory2 officially launch on October 10 on PC, you can check you the Runeblade teaser trailer and the pre-registration below:

Author’s take: I remember watching my friends play the original MapleStory for hours when I was in high school. Although I have never found myself drawn to MMORPG, there’s no doubt that this title has a good following. I’m interested to see how the game is adopted in the west after it was available in Korea for so long now.
