Persona 5 Royal Sells 1.7 Million Units Worldwide on New Platforms

Sega and Atlus have announced via the former’s latest financial report that the remastered release of Persona 5 Royal, meaning every platform sans PlayStation 4, has sold over 1.7 million units worldwide.

Additionally, the Persona series has sold roughly 3.2 million units since April 2022, meaning the games have been highly excelling over the past year. Persona 5 Royal is now available for PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Game Pass, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Windows and Steam. There is no planned upgrade path to PlayStation 5 for PlayStation 4 users, although you can obtain all of the DLC for free as of April 9, 2023.

Persona 3 Portable and Persona 4 Golden cost $19.99 each and include French, Italian, German, Spanish, and Simplified Chinese language support. Improvements and greater quality of life have also been implemented, like quick saving, customizable difficulty at any time, and in Persona 4 Golden’s case, the ability to view previous Social Link events and choose different options.

Throughout Persona 3, the protagonist and the rest of the party, known as SEES, operate together to rid the world of the Dark Hour, a hidden passage of time occurring at midnight. This was also the first game of the series to have Social Links.
