Sonic the Fighters to be Playable in Lost Judgment

Sega revealed that a Sonic the Fighters arcade cabinet will be playable in the arcades of Lost Judgement, coming to PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5. Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S on September 14, 2021.

Sonic the Fighters released in arcades in 1996 before being ported to consoles and is even available on Xbox 360. The version in Lost Judgement is assumed to be based on the arcade version and will include the full roster of playable characters including Sonic the Hedgehog, Tails, Knuckles the Echidna, Amy Rose, Espio the Chameleon, Fang the Sniper, Bean the Dynamite, and Bark the Polar Bear.

Yokohama has been added a new explorable location for Lost Judgment with the time day depicting the different sides of the city. A high school vital for the plot has been extensively modeled in great detail as well.

Combat has been enhanced from the original title, with the “Crane” and “Tiger” styles making a return. A new fighting style called “Snake” has been added to the game, which consists of turning enemy attacks back at them. There are School Stories in the priorly mentioned high school that act as a contrast to the seriousness of the main narrative. During these stories, Yagami participates in activities with the students, such as minigames.
