Blade Boy Bonanza ‘Touken Ranbu -ONLINE-‘ Coming West on Johren

DMM Games and Nitroplus announced an English version of Touken Ranbu -ONLINE- will be available for western players.

Touken Ranbu -ONLINE- is a game about training powerful warriors formed from fabled swords. It was originally released in Japan in 2015 and has since been adapted into many other media, including three anime series. The publisher didn’t announce a release window but mentioned it’ll be available soon on PC via Johren.

Touken Ranbu tells the story of the Saniwa, who has been forced to go back in time with a Blade Battalion to impede a group of revisionists from changing the past. Besides making each character stronger, you will also be able to enjoy the conversations between the sword boys and learn a bit about their personal stories.

The game will have Japanese audio, and the starting lineup of Touken are Kashu Kiyomitsu (CV: Toshiki Masuda), Kasen Kanesada (CV: Kaito Ishikawa), Yamanbagiri Kunihiro (CV: Tomoaki Maeno), Hachisuka Kotetsu (CV: Kazuyuki Okitsu), and Mutsunokami Yoshiyuki (CV: Kento Hama). One of these characters can be picked as the first warrior in the player’s army, while new ones will be obtained through the forgery.

While Touken Ranbu -ONLINE- isn’t available yet, it’s currently doing a pre-registration campaign on its Johren page. A variety of items will be given to any player that participates in this campaign.
