Puzzle Platformer ‘FILMECHANISM’ Coming to PC and Switch Later This Year

Publisher Phoenixx Games has announced they’ll release FILMECHANISM on PC (Steam) and Switch. The game is a retro-styled puzzle platformer developed by Chemical Pudding and should be available on both platforms in 2021.

Each stage contains pushing blocks and multiple gimmicks to use. While that’s a traditional element in the genre, the game offers a special mechanic about saving and loading the state of the world around you.

By recording the positions of objects on the stage, the player can then restore the world to its original state. Using that system should be important to solve the puzzles, which are likely to be tricky to force the player to figure out its optimal solution.
