Sonic the Hedgehog Speeds into Minecraft with Themed DLC Pack

Today, Sega has announced that Sonic the Hedgehog and some of his friends from the franchise have joined Minecraft in their own themed DLC pack as part of the former’s 30th anniversary.

There’s an impressive degree of content from the Sonic franchise, such as the iconic rings and zones ripped straight from their respective games. For instance, the beloved Green Hill Zone from the original Sonic the Hedgehog is present alongside the almost as iconic Chemical Plant Zone from the sequel.

Aside from Sonic himself, Shadow, Amy, Tails, and Knuckles are also part of the fray and can be played as alongside 24 wearable skins, further enhancing the celebratory nature of this collaboration. Competing for high scores with friends via high-paced momentum stages and fulfilling new achievements grant replayability for those desiring intricate value from the DLC pack. The Eggman Mode is just the icing on the cake.
