Little Town Hero Gets Physical Release on Switch From NISA

During PAX South, NIS America announced that they will be releasing a physical edition of the Game Freak-developed adventure RPG Little Town Hero on Nintendo Switch.

The physical release will include:

  • Little Town Hero on Switch
  • Life in the Village art book
  • Izzit? Dazzit! Poster
  • Defender Duo lapel pin set
  • Town Tunes Soundtrack

Little Town Hero is an RPG where players take on the role of Axe. The town he lives in is rather overprotective as most of the townspeople aren’t allowed to leave thanks to the many guards posted around town. However, Axe isn’t like the rest of the townspeople and after a monster invades the town, he kicks into gear to fend off the monster and begin his adventure.

The game blends story content with adventure RPG mechanics where players can explore around the town and complete quests as they wait for monsters to invade. In case you missed it, our review of the game mentioned that this becomes semi-repetitive and the game is hurt because of it.

NISA will support the physical release of the game on Switch and includes some additional physical goodies for players to collect. Given that this is made by the developers who make Pokemon, it certainly has a fan base. Hopefully, this physical push gets the game into more gamer’s hands. Or if you’re a collector, this is the best announcement possible.
