Omori Delisted from Xbox Store

Delisting is nothing new in the game industry, especially as we move forward into an all-digital economy. However, an announcement usually coincides with a game’s delisting on a storefront to ensure that anybody who wants the title can purchase it. Omori is strange in that not only was nobody aware that it was to be delisted, but it is currently unavailable when searching for Omori on the Xbox Store.

The title had been on the Xbox Game Pass service but was removed on June 30 to make way for newer games. Shortly afterward, it was no longer for sale on the storefront, with no word whether the title will ever be available on Xbox again.

Omori is a Kickstarter title that reached several of its goals and has been praised by excited fans. The title is a surreal psychological horror RPGmaker game where players travel between two worlds that both conceal the same secrets. It is not for the faint of heart, as it tackles heavy subject matter and produces disturbing imagery.

Players will have to uncover the traumatic lives of the varied cast, their histories with one another, and how they can potentially accept their grief and move on.

Omori is currently available on PC, PlayStation 4, and Nintendo Switch.

The game has also been confirmed to have sold over one million units worldwide.
