Square Enix has listed many titles on sale today for the Nintendo eShop, one of the standouts of this sale is the first three Dragon Quest titles. These games have never made it over to other consoles, so this price will be the best for those looking to get into the series.

Dragon Quest is one of the oldest RPGs and one of the most popular franchises that Square Enix develops only behind Final Fantasy. The franchise has a distinct look as all character designs are done by Akira Toriyama, the author of Dragon Ball, Dr. Slump, and various other highly influential manga. Alongside a mixture of comedy with world-ending proportions has made Dragon Quest popular in Japan.
While not as popular, the Western audience has fallen in love with the series, and with the release of Dragon Quest Monsters: The Dark Prince coming later this year, this could be an excellent start for those looking to see why so many have fallen in love with the series.
