Phantasy Star Online 2: New Genesis Shows Off New Races, Environments, and Battle System During TGS 2020

Sega released new gameplay with commentary from their Phantasy Star Online 2: New Genesis Tokyo Game Show 2020 Online presentation.

The video goes over many of the game’s updates including new races, environments, and battle systems. Players will get to see how the gameplay has evolved along with the visuals, for instance, players can now glide through the environments to get around quicker, which is nice considering they’ve increased the size of the areas.

Luckily the presentation was translated by English commentators so western fans can learn about what’s going on.

Phantasy Star Online 2: New Genesis is a new MMORPG that is a part of the PSO2 universe but is a brand new adventure offering upgrading visuals and a new narrative, amongst other quality-of-life updates.

Phantasy Star Online 2: New Genesis will be a “huge-scale update” to Phantasy Star Online 2. Players will find new game systems created using a new graphics engine. The update was made in celebration fo the 2oth anniversary of the series and tenth anniversary of Phantasy Star Online 2.
