2D Fighter ‘Chaos Code: New Sign of Catastrophe’ Launches on Switch Today

Arc Systems Works announced that the 2D fighter Chaos Code: New Sign of Catastrophe is available now on Nintendo Switch-via the eShop.

Chaos Code: New Sign of Catastrophe tells the story of Chaotics, which has become the sole source of energy in the world. One day, the inventor, Dr. Tesla, disappeared and left his Chaos Code behind. The government attempted to cover up his disappearance as well as the cryptic message, but news spread fast. So, they instead offered a bounty to anyone who could solve the meaning of the doctor’s last world.

The story features characters from around the world as they take of the challenge—each of them with their own agenda.

With a story like that, you’d probably expect this to be some grand adventure, well no, it’s a 2D fighter. Chaos Code: New Sign of Catastrophe features fast anime action with 16 characters to choose from, including newcomers to the series, Lupinus and Ray. The game will feature Arcade Mode, Versus Mode, and Mission Mode. Lastly, there is a Color Edit mode to customize the color scheme of the characters.

Sadly, there is only local multiplayer for the Switch version of the game, but it is also launching for $9.99. Players can also pick the game up on PlayStation 4 for $19.99.
