Pokemon: Let’s Go, Pikachu! and Let’s Go, Eevee! Show Gameplay and Mega Evolutions in New Trailer

The Pokémon Company released a new trailer for their upcoming casual adventure titles Pokémon: Let’s Go, Pikachu! and Let’s Go, Eevee!, coming to Nintendo Switch on November 16.

During the gameplay trailer we see that players will be able to travel to iconic settings such as Vermilion City and the S.S. Ann. By traveling with their Pokémon to certain locations will trigger a bonding scene between the partners for a nice photo opportunity.

Additionally, players will be able to battle against recognizable gym leaders such as Lt. Surge. Furthermore, Team Rocket’s Jesse and James will be making an appearance in the game to cause trouble with their respective Pokémon, Ekans and Koffing.

Also shown in the trailer are the new Mega Evolutions available in the game, with the trailer showing off Mega Venusaur, Mega Charizard Y, Mega Charizard X, and Mega Blastoise in battle.

With that said, the trailer states that “Game footage in this video not final”, so it’s important to know that all of these animations or scenes could differ in the released product.

In case you missed last month’s trailer, you can check out the differences between the two different titles.

Author’s take: After being recently introduced to the Pokémon Go mobile app, I can see the appeal of this game. I had previously been a bit of a hater on the spin-off, but have since found enjoyment and fun with the gameplay. We’ll see if that continues with this Let’s Go series.
