Cozy Simulation MMO ‘Palia’ Shares New Cinematic Trailer; Open Beta Launches August 10

Singularity 6 has shared a brand-new cinematic trailer for their cozy simulation MMO Palia. In addition to the new trailer, the game has now officially begun its Closed Beta test. Those who did not enter the Beta however, will be able to join in on August 10, 2023, as that’s when the title will shift from a Closed to an Open Beta. Palia takes place on a “cozy” fantasy world with evolving systems that serve to make immersion a clear top priority, with one such facet being intricate customization. The Neighborhood system embraces this prospect as well, as it allows players to create their own communities. Above all else, Singularity 6 desires Palia to be as welcoming as possible and seeks collaboration amongst gamers to be at the forefront of this collective experience. The developer’s social matchmaking system will ensure that players and community members will be together.

Character creation is another selling point with multiple skin tone options, facial features, hairstyles, and more. Different outfits can be saved as well, with customization of colors and free alteration of accessories being possible. Furthermore, in the title’s lore, humanity is perceived as a legendary race that suddenly vanished with no explanation thousands of years ago. Humans were also known for their proficiency in magic. The player characters are humans who awake on Palia’s southern coast and go on the impressive trek of building a new future for the race.

Aidan Karabaich, the co-founder and game director of Singularity 6, had this to say regarding the game’s announcement: “We started Singularity 6 to make games that bring people together. We’re so excited to invite players into Palia for the first time. Inspired by some of our favorite titles, our game lets you forge your own destiny, exist in a beautiful setting, and give you a sense of being at home. We expect the players to be a huge part of shaping the game, and we can’t wait to see what they do in Palia.”

Palia will be coming to PC and Nintendo Switch. In case you missed it, check out our preview of Palia. You can watch the Cinematic Trailer below:
