Pikmin 4 Sells Over 400,000 Units in Japan Alone

Famitsu has just published their weekly chart detailing the games that sold the most in the Japanese market through the week of July 17th to July 23rd, and among those, it was revealed that in Japan alone, Pikmin 4 sold over 400,000 units, making it one of the most successful Pikmin games to launch on the Nintendo Switch.

  1. Pikmin 4 (Switch) – 401,853 units
  2. The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom (Switch) – 15,616 units
  3. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe (Switch) – 10,749 units
  4. Nobunaga’s Ambition: Awakening (Switch) – 10,633 units
  5. Nobunaga’s Ambition: Awakening (PS4) – 10,434 units
  6. Minecraft (Switch) – 7,512 units
  7. Splatoon 3 (Switch) – 6,337 units
  8. Nintendo Switch Sports (Switch) – 5784 units
  9. Final Fantasy XVI (PS5) – 4904 units
  10. Super Smash Bros. Ultimate (Switch) – 4844 units

In Pikmin 4, you customize your explorer and lead the charge daily to find your crew and fix the Rescue Corps ship, the S.S. Shepherd. Lead your squad through vast explorable areas to find treasures, discover new paths, and battle enemies of all sizes.

You can also direct the Pikmin to collect and carry helpful resources for your mission. Furthermore, you can also get help from a second player in the Story mode. Using an on-screen pointer, your co-op buddy can throw pebbles at enemies to stun them and unleash valuable items in your inventory.
