Shin Megami Tensei V Daily Demon Video #113 Showcases the 69th Ars Goetia Demonic Spirit Decarabia

The official Youtube channel for Atlus Japan has shared the 113th Daily Demon video for the upcoming Shin Megami Tensei V. This entry highlights Decarabia, a great marquis of hell who is the 69th listed demon in the Ars Goetia book. He takes the form of a pentagram star by default, though he can transform into the form of a human being if desired. He can appraise the value of herbs and gems while also having the ability to transform into a bird and act as a familiar.

Decarabia wields Tetrakarn and Agidyne, making him a magic-reliant demon with the nifty trick of reflecting physical strikes. He debuted in the original Shin Megami Tensei while his first Persona appearance was in Persona 3.

Shin Megami Tensei V takes place after a murder occurs in modern-day Tokyo that blocks the game’s protagonist from walking home. The detour may have been due to fate or another force, but he finds himself buried and unconscious.

When he awakens, he finds himself in a new Tokyo, a wasteland after the apocalypse known as Da’at. He quickly finds out that he’s not alone, as demons are closing in on his location. However, a mighty being known as a Nahobino appears and saves him. With this power, the protagonist can venture through Da’at and hopefully get some answers about what happened to his former home.

Shin Megami Tensei V is releasing for Nintendo Switch on November 12, 2021.
