The Artful Escape Gets September Release Date for PC and Xbox Systems With A New Trailer

During their showcase, publisher Annapurna Interactive announced the release date for The Artful Escape. This artistic take on the platformer genre will be available on PC – via Steam-, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S on September 9. It’ll also be available as part of the Xbox Game Pass service on day one.

The Artful Escape tells the story of Francis Vendetti, a teenage guitarrist who’s considered a big music prodigy. However, even though his talent is known, he’s constantly compared to his very famous uncle who was a legend of folk music. Just before his first official performance, he decides to go on a self-discovery journey to create his own stage persona.

It’ll be up to the player to explore the town of Calypso meeting all sorts of folks. However, the game also has another side to it as Francis goes on a multidimensional self-discovery journey to make his own stage persona and confront the aforementioned legacy. As such, the player has to run, doube jump, use light cannons and dance in psychedelic stages.

Developed by BEETHOVEN & DINOSAUR, The Artful Escape will include voice performances from actors and actresses such as Michael Johnston, Caroline Kinley, Lena Headey, Jason Schwartzman, Mark Strong, and Carl Weathers.
