Rogue-Platformer ‘ScourgeBringer’ Announced for PS4 and Vita Release; With Physical Version Confirmed for Both Platforms

Dear Villagers announced that the Flying Oak Games-developed rogue-platformer ScourgeBringer will launch on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita on April 22.

Both versions will receive a physical release from publisher EastAsiaSoft. The PS4 version will have a limited edition available with 500 copies along with a standard edition. The PS Vita physical release will come after launch. Players will receive art cards, a soundtrack, and a collector’s box in the limited edition.

ScourgeBringer is a rogue-platformer where players take control of Kyhra, an adventurer sent to uncover the secrets of an Eldritch monolith, which threatens to destroy her world. Her arsenal consists of a helpful drone and the ability to shoot and slash her way through any encounter.

Players will be able to explore an ever-changing dungeon, which is home to huge bosses, mysterious machines, ghosts, and a bunch of secrets that could save the world. However, players cannot backtrack in this game, so they’ll have to clear rooms knowing that they can’t return to the previous room to store items. The gameplay is kept fast and action-oriented, with enemies made to put player’s skills to the test.
