Inescapable: No Rules, No Rescue Coming to PC and Consoles on October 19

Aksys Games and Dreamloop Games have just announced today that the Danganronpa-inspired Inescapable: No Rules, No Rescue, will launch on October 19th, 2023 on PC, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 and 5, and XBOX. Furthermore, the game will also be featured in the upcoming Steam Visual Novel Fest, beginning August 7th. A new trailer was also unveiled.

“Inescapable: No Rules, No Escape isn’t a Death Game. Or, more accurately, it isn’t just a death game. Here, your relationship with other characters is game-defining. It’s about how six months in the most insane circumstances you can imagine might change you. Player choices and actions matter more in Inescapable: No Rules, No Escape than almost any other game we’ve seen in the genre, and it isn’t just limited to dialogue choices,” says Joni Lappalainen, CEO of Dreamloop.

Inescapable No Rules No Rescue

InescapableNo RulesNo Rescue tells the story of a group of people who have just arrived on a strange island, where are forced to survive and to entertain the depraved audience of the Dark Web TV show on which they find themselves. The story explores human nature and how far people will go for social clout, wealth, and their own desires—and how much farther they might be willing to go when they have permission to ignore the rules. At the end of their stay, they’ll each receive $500,000… If they survive.

The gameplay features multiple narrative paths based on choices made by the player during gameplay. Each member of the cast has a unique personality and backstory that details what led them to the show. There are hours of recorded voiced-acted dialogue for the characters and a soundtrack with music by Zero Escape’s Shinji Hosoe and Matias Lehtoranta.
