Xbox Now Enabling Gameplay Streaming to Discord Friends

Microsoft has announced that those part of the Xbox Insider program can start streaming gameplay to their Discord friends today. Only those part of the Alpha Skip-Ahead and Alpha rings will receive invites for now, but everyone will have access to this new feature soon.

The following directions were provided:

How to stream your games to your Discord friends

To get started, you can join voice channels from your Discord servers directly from your Xbox console when your Discord account is linked. To try it, press the Xbox button on your controller to open the guide, scroll to Parties & chats, and select Discord. Then scroll through your available Discord servers and pick a voice channel and start streaming!

For more information on this implementation and tangentially related fields, you can check out the official Xbox news post.

In case you missed it, Microsoft recently announced their extensive plans for Gamescom 2023, scheduled for later this month. The occasion will be in-person and live-streamed across three days, with gameplay presentations, deep dives, community segments, developer discussions, and more.

View the latest titles joining and leaving Xbox Game Pass this month, including Celeste and Limbo for the former and Death Stranding and Edge of Eternity for the latter.
