Yo-Kai Watch Launches New 10th Anniversary Website

LEVEL-5 has opened up the Yo-kai Watch 10th Anniversary Website, which details several events that will be held to celebrate the titular franchise’s 10th year anniversary in Japan. I’ve provided some translations below of some of the featured events, but please note that most of these events apply to the Japanese versions only. It is unknown if an English version of the website will ever release.

The first event highlighted on the website is the Yo-kai Movie Festival. Spread across three different YouTube videos premiering on the 11th, the 18th, and the 25th (Japan Time) respectively, each video will feature three Yo-kai Watch movies, with audio commentary from key cast members.

The movies that are featured are Yo-kai Watch: Tanjō no Himitsu da Nyan! (known simply as Yo-kai Watch: The Movie in the West), the first ever movie released, Yo-Kai Watch: Enma Daiō to Itsutsu no Monogatari da Nyan! (Yo-kai Watch: The Movie 2 in the West), the second movie, and the Yo-Kai Watch: Soratobu Kujira to Double no Sekai no Daiboken da Nyan! live-action. Archived versions of these videos will also be available for a limited time.

Next up, there is a timeline of the series’ games can be seen, from the very first Yo-kai Watch game in Japan, released on 2013 on the Nintendo 3DS, to the most recent, Yo-kai Watch 4: We Look At the Same Sky. Clicking on each game will tell you relevant information about that title, and each section also features some in-game art.

Both the Nintendo Switch and mobile ports of Yo-kai Watch 1, as well as Yo-kai Watch 4, and the Yo-kai Gakuen Y titles will be heavily discounted on their respective Japanese storefronts during the LEVEL-5 Super Summer Sale, which starts on July 19th. Unfortunately, since the Nintendo 3DS eShop has long closed its doors, Yo-kai Watch 2 and Yo-kai Watch 3 are not part of this sale.

The next announcement is about a web radio titled 10th Anniversary Celebration Yo-kai Radio. The program will feature the Japanese voice actresses for Keita (Nathan in the English dub), Jibanyan and Komasan. Three episodes of the radio program will be released every Friday from July 14th to July 28th on the official YouTube channel.
