Tower of Fantasy Celebrates Global 1st Year Anniversary With New ‘Midsummer Merriment’ Update

Level Infinite and Hotta Studio have just announced the latest information for the next update coming for the PC and mobile version of Tower of Fantasy. The next major expansion, Midsummer Merriment, will be launching on August 8, 2023 for PC and mobile devices, which will add a brand new map, storyline, enemy and Simulacrum.

The brand-new location that will be added is called Cloudpeak Manor, which is located in Ignisville. The manor was once a bustling hub teeming with activity, but when Darkness fell upon it, it soon began to crumble. Inside, players will encounter new overworld enemies such as the cow-like Cyox and the Crystalline Darkness.

In addition to those, players can also fight against the The Black Crow Dark Wretch, an enemy with a tough bone armor that wields three retracted bird heads. Along with its massive frame, the heads attack in coordination during combat, posing a serious threat.

Furthermore, players can also take part in the Jade Pavilion Fair storyline. where the people of Domain 9 will come together in joyful celebration after 12 long years, decorating with lanterns and enjoying the delicacies of Ignisville. Many Exchange Stores are located at the Fair, along with a plethora of side missions to discover, unlock, and enjoy.

To celebrate the 1 year anniversary of the Global release of Tower of Fantasy since, the in-game events will feature the biggest rewards since launch and brand new events are awaiting wanderers as Tower of Fantasy rings in its next year, with up to 73 free draws, a free SSR Relic set and much more, making it the ideal time to come back to the game if you’ve been taking a break.

Lastly, a new Simulacrum, Ming Jing, will also be introduced alongside the expansion. Ming Jing is regarded as the first visitor of Domain 9 from the outside world, and has been newly appointed its Lord Xuanwu. Wielding a greatsword unfit for the ordinary, Ming Jing never fails to provide an undeniable sense of security to the people of Domain 9. Hmm, he looks…familiar.

Set hundreds of years in the future after humanity has escaped the collapsing environment of Earth and fled to the distant planet of Aida, the cross-platform shared open-world MMORPG action of Tower of Fantasy invites gamers around the world to join in on the thrilling action.

Developed by Hotta Studio and published by Level Infinite on PC and Perfect World Games on PlayStation, the game features an immersive open world, cooperative group and solo adventures, freeform character development, unique simulacrums, and epic combat that allows players to switch weapons and gameplay styles on the fly to unlock their own personal fighting style.

Tower of Fantasy is currently available on PC and Mobile for free. The PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 versions will be released on August 8 for free, though players who purchase the Ultimate and Deluxe editions can enjoy a 48-hour early access.
