HP Omen, Gaming Hub, Victus Announcements – New Connectivity Features, Twinkly Lights & Airflow

HP Omen and its family brand Victus announced brand new laptops in their gaming lineup, featuring Omen 16 and Victus 15. Also, we see new additions coming to HP Omen Gaming Hub, Omen’s ecosystem configuration software. Although all of their latest additions to the existing products out there have new performance, power, and features, certain aspects of these machines stand out. For example, Omen is taking a stance on heat dissipation by adding new materials such as heat pipes, vents, and fans to the Omen 16.

The Omen 16 boasts 51 new fan blades, which have notably brought down the temperature and improved overall performance based on many metrics. Omen also moved the I/O to the rear of the sides, leaving more space for a 4th thermal heat vent and a 5th heat pipe.

On the other hand, we have the Victus 15, with never-before-seen heat ventilation on the bottom. The vent inlet area is a 150% increase over prior versions, with a dual-fan setup. The Victus 15 also offers 3 colors; Ceramic White, Mica Silver, and Performance Blue.

Regarding features, Omen is releasing an add-on to Omen Gaming Hub named Omen Dynamic Power. This includes an algorithm that will control the perfect amount of power going to your CPU and GPU when under heavy load. Additionally, Omen added “Optimizer” to the Gaming Hub, which is a helpful tool to allocate performance with ease to your most important software, and PC functions.

The UI makes it simple to understand for the average user, especially beginner gamers. Lastly, Gaming Hub will open up the ability for 3rd party LED application support, so you don’t have to go back and forth between different light controls, software, or branded experiences. Omen can take care of everything in the Omen Gaming Hub.
