Robotics;Notes Manga Volumes 1-3 Store Listings Reveal Western Release Dates

In July 2022, Udon Entertainment announced they would bring the Robotics;Notes manga by Keiji Asakawa to the West in 2023, with translation aid from prominent Science Adventure community member Steiner.

Now, roughly a year later, the Amazon store listings for these manga volumes have revealed release dates, listed below:

  • Volume 1 is scheduled to release on October 31, 2023
  • Volume 2 is scheduled to release on January 2, 2024
  • Volume 3 is scheduled to release on February 27, 2024

The synopsis for volume one of the Robotics;Notes manga is quoted below:

“The year is 2019, Steins;Gate world line “1.048596%”.

On the island of Tanegashima, augmented reality has exploded in popularity and robots are becoming last year’s fad. In danger of being closed, the Chuo Tanegashima High School Robotics Research Club decide on one final project… to build their own GIANT ROBOT!”

The synopsis for volume two of the Robotics;Notes manga is quoted below:

“With bizarre phenomena abounding — urban legends, the Kimijima Reports, and the phantom of a mysterious girl — will the Robotics Research Club complete their dream project? Plus new members join the club to help perfect the giant GunBuild-1 robot!”

Robotics;Notes is the third mainline entry of the Science Adventure franchise, occurring after Steins;Gate. It has players follow the stories of multiple characters, more specifically, Kaito Yashio and his friend Akiho Senomiya. The title is set in 2019 and has the two main characters, Kaito and Akiho, trying to fulfill their robotic club’s dream of building an epic robot.

The original Robotics;Notes game was originally released by 5pb. in Japan on the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in 2012. A couple of years later, an enhanced version titled Robotics;Notes Elite was released for PlayStation Vita in 2014 and for Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4 in 2019.

Robotics;Notes DaSH is the sequel of Robotics;Notes, and was released on January 31, 2019, in Japan for the PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch.

Robotics;Notes Elite and Robotics;Notes DaSH are currently available for PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam.
