A Certain Magical Index: The Movie – The Miracle of Endymion Temporarily Free on YouTube for 10th Anniversary

The official YouTube channel for the multi-media To Aru franchise has uploaded the entirety of A Certain Magical Index: The Movie – The Miracle of Endymion onto their YouTube channel to commemorate the film’s tenth anniversary. However, it will only be available on the website until the end of February 26, 2023, Japan time.

Produced by J.C. Staff, A Certain Magical Index: The Movie – The Miracle of Endymion focuses on series protagonist Touma Kamijou and his constant companion Index encountering a Level 0 in Aacademy City named Meigo Arisa, who the duo quickly befriends. However, she finds herself targeted by the world’s Magic and Science sides for unknown reasons, making war between the inherently opposing factions not too unlikely. Throughout the story, the staple cast from A Certain Scientific Railgun also plays pivotal roles.

A Certain Magical Index originated as a light novel series before expanding into several other media, such as video games and manga adaptations. In fact, entire spinoffs have been birthed from Magical Index, including the significantly more popular A Certain Scientific Railgun.

Regardless, the Magical Index light novel is still ongoing, as it’s in the midst of its third series, Genesis Testament. The three seasons of the anime have adapted the first light novel series, known as Old Testament. As of now, the second light novel series taking place right after the first, New Testament, has yet to receive an anime adaption.

While countless events and developments occur, A Certain Magical Index primarily follows protagonist Touma Kamijou, a high schooler residing in Academy City, a locale full of Espers. He is a Level 0, those whose Esper abilities are the lowest of the low.
