Fantasian Listing Discovered on SteamDB; Possible PC Announcement Soon

PC gamers were quick to spot a listing for Fantasian on SteamDB, a database of titles that have been sent through the Steam approval process but may not have a Steam page at this time.

The listing highlights the game as Fantasian Playtest, hinting at a possible QA branch of the game for testers. However, since its launch in 2021, the game has been exclusive to the Apple Arcade. That said, many players have hoped it will appear on other platforms due to the development team being led by JRPG greats such as director and Final Fantasy creator Hironobu Sakaguchi with music by Nobuo Uematsu.

We’ll keep you updated on any future announcements about Fantasian coming to other platforms. The game’s director has pointed out in the past his hopes for the game to come to other platforms.

Fantasian is set in a world governed by machines where the balance of Chaos and Order is the crucial factor in the struggle within this multi-dimensional universe. Players will take on the role of Leo, who has awakened after an explosion without his memory and facing a strange land. The journey begins to reclaim Leo’s memories as players uncover the truth behind a peculiar mechanical infection consuming mankind.

The battle system uses a “Dimengeon Battle” mechanic, allowing players to send previously encountered enemies into a separate dimensional dungeon to streamline combat and maximize uninterrupted exploration of the beautiful locations.

Players will explore dioramas with over 150 different types. Creating Fantasian’s real-life miniature sets are veterans who have worked on projects like the Godzilla films, Attack on Titan and Ultraman. In addition, Fantasian serves as a vehicle to bring these works of art into the digital space via Apple Arcade.
