Taisho x Alice Episode 1 Launches on Steam With Improved Localization

Pencil has launched the Primula developed Otome visual novel Taisho x Alice Episode 1 on PC-via Steam, which is a re-translation of a project originally headed by E2 Gaming. However, famously, the company did a laughable job at bringing the game west and released a half-finished project along with an unlocalized menu.

Taisho x Alice is an Otome visual novel where players will set out on a quest to save their Prince Charming. During the story, players make choices at key points that lead to different endings as they play the role of a heroine out to rehabilitate their chosen love interest and get that “happily ever after” conclusion.

Taisho x Alice Episode 1 features two love interests, Cinderella and Red Riding Hood. Every character is voiced in this title and the heroine is nameable. The first choice in the game has players choose which prince that wish to meet as they enter the Looking-Glass World.

Players wake up in a world full of gender-swapped fairytale characters. Alice has lost her memory and has found herself in the Looking-Glass World, a strange yet familiar place. From there, she sets out on her journey to gain back her memories and maybe even find love.
