Guilty Gear Series Director & Staff Share Video Messages to Fans for 25th Anniversary

Developer Arc System Works has shared a video message from Guilty Gear series director Daisuke Ishiwatari, celebrating the franchise’s 25th anniversary. Additional video messages from other staff members were also shared.

Ishiwatari takes roughly two minutes to reflect on the initial development of the first Guilty Gear before emphasizing how much he never expected the franchise to grow as it did.

He’s viewing this occasion as a time of retrospect and has revealed how while his initial priority with fighting games was making them “entertaining” experiences, that has now evolved due to him realizing how video games can connect people worldwide through the internet.
