Plow Armies on the Go Soon – Dynasty Warriors 8 Xtreme Legends Definitive Edition Switch Release Date Revealed

Hacking and slashing through massive armies in a Dynasty Warriors game is one of my favorite ways to just kick back and relax. It’s so simple yet it’s oh so satisfying. Having that experience on the go is even better, which Koei Tecmo is fully aware of.

Koei Tecmo has announced that Dynasty Warriors 8 Xtreme Legends Definitive Edition is plowing its way to the Nintendo Switch on December 27.  The game will be available via the Nintendo eShop for $39.99, however, you can get a 10% discount if you purchase the game during its first week on sale.

This compilation is jam-packed with goodies. It combines the original Dynasty Warriors 8 with Dynasty Warriors 8 Xtreme Legends, along with almost all of the DLC released to date like costumes and side-story scenarios for several of the beloved warriors in the game. If you already own the recently released Warriors Orochi 4 on the Switch and have save data for it, you’re in for a treat as you’ll have the power to receive some special bonus costumes that would make even the almighty general Lu Bu jealous.

If you’re new to the Dynasty Warriors series, it follow the stories of the kingdoms of Wei, Wu, Shu, and Jin through the actions of historical military and political figures as they fight for control over the Three Kingdoms of China. While the Nintendo Switch has numerous Dynasty Warriors spin-off games, such as Fire Emblem Warriors and Hyrule Warriors, Dynasty Warriors 8 Xtreme Legends Definitive Edition is the first Dynasty Warriors game to come to the console.

Author’s Take: I’ve spent so many hours just mindless destroying armies in Dynasty Warriors games. Now with a Dynasty Warriors game on the Switch, I’ll be spending even more hours hacking and slashing to my heart’s delight.
