The King of Fighters XIII Global Match Announces November 2023 Release Date for PS4 & Switch in New Trailer
During EVO 2023, SNK announced that The King of Fighters XIII Global Match will launch for PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch on November 16, 2023. Additionally, a Deluxe Edition was announced, featuring a digital art book and soundtrack.
The King of Fighters XIII was previously only available on PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, mobile devices, Arcade, and PC. The title was ambitious as it removed the Guard Attack, the Critical Counter, and the Clash System from the previous entry with the EX Mode, Hyper Drive Mode, and Drive Cancel, encouraging further combo variation and player experimentation. Regarding the story, this game takes place after The King of Fighters XI and concludes the third story arc initiated in The King of Fighters 2003.
