Final Fantasy XIV Announces Fall Guys Collab Starting August 22, 2023

During the Final Fantasy XIV keynote with Producer Naoki Yoshida, a trailer was released for a Final Fantasy XIV collaboration with Fall Guys starting on August 22, 2023. This Warriors of Light Fame Pass will include many characters from XIV and the Final Fantasy series as a whole.

The highlighted costumes feature Alisaie, Alphinaud, and Estenien, allowing players to dress up as their favorite characters alongside Chocobo and Marlboro costumes. Players will need to purchase the Final Fantasy XIV Fan Pass to access the new costumes and emotes inside of Fall Guys. This collaboration will also put a new minigame inside Final Fantasy XIV based on Fall Guys, making players play the viral game inside Eorzea, making this a full-blown crossover of the two series.

To elaborate, there will be Final Fantasy XIV content in Fall Guys and vice versa.

There is no exact release date for the new Minigame to launch inside of Final Fantasy XIV, but it will be implemented in update 6.5X.

Final Fantasy XIV is an MMO that has players work together through a story worthy of any Final Fantasy title. Dawntrail is the latest expansion that will have players in a contest searching for the fabled City of Gold, which will have the Scions work with and against each other to decide who will ascend the throne of Tural.

The game was confirmed to release for Xbox in Spring 2024.

The Final Fantasy XIV: Dawntrail Expansion was announced for Summer 2024.

Dawntrail is currently scheduled for release in Summer 2024. The delay was expected due to the previous announcement before Endwalker‘s release that the COVID-19 pandemic had permanently slowed down the game’s release cycle.

Not much was revealed immediately due to the length of time before the release, but we already know that it will be accompanied by a major graphical update to the entire game, which is sorely needed given that the game just celebrated its ten-year anniversary since being relaunched as Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn.
