Persona 5 Tactica Shares New Details About the Kingdoms and Characters

Atlus released new details about the world and characters of Persona 5 Tactica, coming to PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam on November 17, 2023.

The details highlight the new dungeons in the game, known as Kingdoms, which are a bit different when compared to the Palaces found in Persona 5. The Phantom Thieves of Hearts are transported to a Metaverse, where they meet a military group named Legionnaires. However, their leader, Marie (pron. MAH-ree-ay), is strong and brainwashes everyone except Joker and Morgana.

They are rescued by the Rebel Corps leader, Erina, who briefs them on the situation and these Kingdoms. Now, the group must investigate these dungeons and rescue their friends.

Marie’s Kingdom highlights her desire for power but also sets the stage for a potential wedding. While Joker and Morgana find their way in, they meet a man named Toshiro Kasukabe (pron. TOH-shi-roh KAH-su-kah-bay). Toshiro is revealed to be a politician who went missing in the real world, but he claims to have no memory of how he wandered into the Metaverse or why he was imprisoned.

Gameplay allows players to take a strategic position during battles. Characters can move around the field and take cover for added defense or take a chance to find an enemy’s weakness and receive a chance to deal extra damage. There are other ways to receive an additional hit that require you to defend and play strategically.

Each character has a variety of skills. Whenever you hit an enemy or get hit by an enemy during battle, the star-shaped Voltage gauge near the bottom right-hand side of the screen will fill up.
Once the gauge is fully charged, you can execute a character-specific unique skill. Each character has their own skill tree, which can be reset at any time if you wish to create a different type of party.

There will be a return on talking events as well. The cast will meet in the Hideout, where players can learn more about them and just hang out.

We’ll keep you updated on the development and release of Persona 5 Tactica.
