Niantic’s ‘Monster Hunter Now’ Releasing September 2023; Pre-Registration Available

Niantic has seen various amounts of success with their particular brand of Augmented Reality mobile games, the most popular, of course, being Pokemon Go. In April, they announced a partnership with Capcom to try and capture the magic again but this time with the Monster Hunter franchise.

Earlier today, the official website for Monster Hunter Now had updated with a release date for the upcoming mobile game of September 14, 3034. Fans of Niantic’s particular brand of games can pre-register now on both Google Play Store and the iOS App Store. The website also details pre-registration rewards ranging from a few potions to cosmetic items players can use to customize their hunter.

Monster Hunter Now is an Augmented Reality mobile game that involves players going outside and hunting monsters. Players must walk around their neighborhoods to find monsters, materials, and other items to further customize their hunter and prepare for the next hunt.

The gameplay will be a simplified version of what fans of the Monster Hunter franchise have come to expect. Players must tap to deal damage to monsters while swiping to dodge any incoming attacks. Players can also team up with any nearby hunters if they find that a hunt is too much for just a single person.

Monster Hunter Now releases September 14, 2023, for iOS and Android.
