New Digimon Survive Trailer Introduces Primary Cast & Conflict

Bandai Namco has shared a roughly 6-minute long trailer for their upcoming highly anticipated strategy visual novel, Digimon Survive, introducing several members of the primary cast and the circumstances they face.

Digimon Survive will focus heavily on the story of the characters and their relationships with their Digimon. The team’s approach to this new title will utilize this generation’s hardware as much as possible in a blend of 2D illustration with 3D environments. During battles, Digimon will be able to Digivolve right on the maps. The matches’ battle flow will be as fluid as possible while retaining the strategic mechanics of taking advantage of enemy weaknesses.

Digimon Survive will feature dramatic story sections where players learn more about the characters and the world, much like a visual novel. In addition, however, additional gameplay elements have been added to feature large-scale battles between Digital Monsters.
