New Ys X Nordics Special Edition Features Comedic Manga Recap of Ys I & II

Nihon Falcom has announced that pre-orders are available for the Dengeki Special Pack edition of their upcoming action JRPG Ys X Nordics. This package will include the following contents:

• Physical copy of the game
• A charm of Lila’s Shell
• A B2 tapestry
• Four-tile manga newly drawn by Daisuke Shinkubo (Falcom Gakuen Artist)
• DLC Costume for Carja: [Battle Dress]

Regarding the manga, it is illustrated by the same artist behind the Falcom Gakuen series, and it will comprise the following:

This is a manga newly drawn by Daisuke Shinkubo, a well-known artist among Falcom Japan fans. It is a funny playback of Adol’s adventures in Ys I and II! This book is not only for fans of the series but also for new players who can enjoy looking back on Adol’s adventures!

This package also has upgrades that cost extra but provide more goodies like a pocket watch and bag.

Ys X Nordics will occur between Ys II and Memories of Celceta, making it the new third canonical entry in Adol Christin’s adventure logs. The gameplay has undergone a significant shakeup, with there only being two playable characters this time around.

Special maneuvers can be unlocked via story scenes and exploration, allowing for environmental interaction. Further, in solo mode, the character you’re not controlling performs actions judged by their own discretion. Adol will be controlling a ship for combat and island hopping, too.

Unused Ys Seven concepts are being utilized in this outing, too. Ys X Nordics will allow players considerable explorative freedom, enabling naval travel with a recruitable crew and ship combat.
